Security Manager Eastern Europe (Operational and Technical Security)

Senior Security Manager for the Eastern Europe Cluster at DP World, combining technical architecture oversight with operational incident management and compliance governance.

The company seeks an experienced professional to lead security strategy and implementation across the Eastern Europe region. This position bridges advanced technical security design with daily operational oversight, requiring close collaboration with senior internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies to maintain robust, compliant, and scalable security frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and govern technical security systems, ensuring proper integration and adherence to design standards.
  • Design and deploy security solutions including video management, access control, intrusion detection, and biometric technologies.
  • Define and enforce standards for security designs to guarantee consistency and regulatory alignment.
  • Perform technical reviews of schematics, layouts, and vendor proposals to ensure solution assurance.
  • Drive the full project lifecycle for security integration and installation, managing budget, timeline, and resources.
  • Oversee risk, quality, and change management processes for all security-related initiatives.
  • Coordinate with IT, engineering, construction, procurement, and security teams to align objectives.
  • Direct operational security activities in the Eastern Europe Cluster, including incident response and management.
  • Ensure compliance with key standards such as TAPA, ISPS, TISAX, AEO, and ISO 28000 through audits and oversight.
  • Maintain security system databases, conduct lifecycle reviews, and perform performance audits.
  • Support security investigations and provide intelligence analysis for incident resolution.
  • Manage vendor relationships and stakeholder expectations to ensure high performance and alignment.
  • Deliver training and competency development programs for regional security teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments and due diligence for new projects and third-party partnerships.
  • Collaborate with procurement on tendering, technical evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Handle financial control and reporting for projects exceeding £1.5M.
  • Partner with IT and cybersecurity teams to integrate physical and logical security controls.
  • Manage external relationships with customers and public authorities.
  • Supervise guard forces and other service providers to ensure operational standards.

Requirements

  • Professional qualifications in security, risk management, engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of experience delivering technical security solutions in a similar capacity.
  • Minimum five years in security systems, intrusion detection, risk mitigation, and threat defense.
  • Advanced knowledge of security technologies including CCTV, radar, access control, biometrics, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Technical proficiency in VMS and control platforms like Genetec and Milestone.
  • Familiarity with compliance processes, including UAT and audit readiness procedures.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and legal frameworks, particularly GDPR.
  • Proven project management skills covering the entire project lifecycle.
  • Solid technical knowledge of IT networks, protocols, server hardware, and operating systems.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, including OJEU requirements.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 50% of the time.

  • Professional certifications in security or information security.
  • Credentials such as TAPA FSR/TSR, AEO, TISAX, ISO 27001, ISO 28000, ISO Information Security Officer, or air freight security adviser.
  • Fluency in additional European languages.
