Senior Backend Engineer – EU Fully Remote

Responsibilities

• Design systems that are safe, compliant, and can build at scale to support significant growth of the global user base.
• Work closely with the team to build platform elements responsible for driving revenue.
• Communicate effectively and collaboratively during periods of growth within a globally distributed remote engineering team.
• Navigate the challenges of a globally distributed remote engineering team and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience at a mid to senior level in the development of Backend systems.
• Experience building systems on mobile technology, both iOS and Android, used by a large number of monthly users.
• Strong proficiency in Node.JS, Typescript, and AWS.
• Ability to pick up new modern tech.
• Experience working for a strong technology brand with a proven culture of engineering excellence.

Nice to have

• Experience in revenue generating in-app tech.
• Understanding of monetization of apps through areas like billing and subscriptions from a Backend perspective.
• Familiarity with different payment providers or in app APIs.
