Senior Cloud Architect 80–100% (f/m/d)

UBS Card Center AG seeks a Senior Cloud Architect to lead cloud governance and infrastructure design within its new Cloud Center of Excellence team.

This position sits within the newly established Cloud Center of Excellence in the IT department. The primary objective is to guide the organization’s transition to cloud services by establishing a robust governance framework and designing secure, compliant hybrid cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Create and deploy cloud infrastructure for SaaS and PaaS solutions, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Define the hybrid cloud platform architecture blueprint, covering network, identity, and security configurations for Azure and AWS landing zones.
• Choose and configure core platform services, such as compute, storage, monitoring, and automation tools, to support cloud workloads.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, IT engineers, and internal stakeholders to align and coordinate project roadmaps.
• Identify, document, and maintain cloud architecture principles, standards, and guideline documents.

Requirements

• A university degree in informatics or business informatics, or equivalent higher education from a university of applied sciences.
• Proven hands-on experience in cloud architecture and hyperscaler services within production environments, including knowledge of virtualization, storage, and DevOps.
• Strong understanding of regulatory demands specific to the banking and credit card sectors, particularly PCI/DSS compliance and data residency rules.
• Excellent communication abilities in both German and English, paired with a high sense of quality and responsibility.
