Senior CPU Performance Developer Technology Engineer

NVIDIA seeks a Senior CPU Performance Developer Technology Engineer in Switzerland to optimize Cloud and HPC workloads on its processors through research, analysis, and community collaboration.

This position is dedicated to advancing the performance of NVIDIA’s CPU architectures by applying advanced research and development techniques. The engineer will analyze and refine key workloads for Cloud and High-Performance Computing environments, ensuring that both current and future hardware generations deliver optimal efficiency and speed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with external developers and subject matter experts to identify and resolve current and emerging technical challenges.
• Support framework and application teams by contributing to their software stacks, libraries, or creating reference implementations.
• Partner with cross-functional internal groups, including architecture, research, tools, and product management, to enhance product quality.
• Provide input on the design of next-generation hardware and software by evaluating how changes impact application performance and developer productivity.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in computer science, or equivalent professional experience, alongside at least eight years of relevant industry background.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Fortran, with a deep understanding of software design principles, programming methodologies, and algorithmic efficiency.
• Practical experience in benchmarking and optimizing workloads for enterprise and cloud-based systems.
• Strong organizational abilities, effective communication skills, and a logical approach to problem-solving, time management, and task prioritization.
