Senior Data & AI Consultant/Consulting Lead (Switzerland)

Unit8 seeks a Senior Data & AI Consultant/Consulting Lead in Zürich to grow its data and AI consulting practice. The role involves advising clients on data-driven transformation, leading project delivery, and contributing to business development in a hybrid work environment.

This position is to join Unit8’s Data & AI Consulting Practice in Zurich, supporting data scientists and engineers with a comprehensive consulting approach. The role spans business development, project execution, and client relationship management, with the goal of scaling the practice within a rapidly growing AI and analytics services provider.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on becoming data-driven organizations by evaluating their data and machine learning maturity and creating implementation roadmaps.
• Engage with clients to understand their data-related challenges and associated technical and business needs.
• Work alongside data scientists, data engineers, and IT architects to deliver data-based solutions and machine learning applications.
• Provide guidance on key enablers such as data governance, model governance, MLOps, and analytics centres of excellence.
• Collaborate with the head of the Data & AI Consulting practice to shape growth strategies and develop new consulting offerings.
• Support business development through participation in industry conferences, workshops, and client sales meetings.
• Help produce white papers and thought leadership content on data science and AI topics.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in a top-tier management consultancy at the business-technology intersection, or equivalent corporate experience.
• Proven track record advising clients on data-related areas including advanced analytics, machine learning, data platforms, and cloud technologies.
• Strong ability to quickly identify business challenges and propose innovative, relevant solutions.
• Skilled at building long-term relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, computer science, engineering, business, mathematics, or natural sciences.
• Fluent in both English and German.
