WPP Media seeks a Senior E-Commerce Manager in Zürich to lead global e-commerce strategy for Roche, focusing on marketplace optimization, retail media, and cross-functional collaboration.

This position serves as the primary expert for Roche’s global e-commerce initiatives, acting as the central link between global hubs and local agencies. The role is responsible for driving growth and efficiency through tailored marketplace strategies and strategic account leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute customized e-commerce and marketplace strategies to boost international growth and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the strategic direction and management of key accounts, including their specific marketplace presence in various countries.
  • Manage and refine retail media campaigns, such as Amazon Sponsored Ads and DSP, to identify new performance drivers and adhere to best practices.
  • Track key performance indicators, product listings, and marketing efforts to implement data-driven improvements and resolve technical issues proactively.
  • Enhance organic product visibility through SEO optimization and create high-converting content, including product descriptions and Brand Stores.
  • Design testing frameworks for new features and mentor the team by sharing specialized e-commerce knowledge to build internal capabilities.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in digital or e-commerce marketing, with a preference for candidates who have worked on both agency and client sides.
  • Extensive expertise in Amazon Advertising tools (Sponsored Ads, DSP, AMC) and a comprehensive understanding of the broader e-commerce landscape, including social commerce.
  • Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, including regulatory constraints, with familiarity of online pharmacy platforms like DocMorris or Shop Apotheke being advantageous.
  • An entrepreneurial approach with experience in formulating global strategies across multiple markets and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong data literacy skills, including proficiency with BI tools, retail media dashboards, and MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Business-level fluency in English.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in German is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of French is considered an asset.
