Michael Page seeks a Senior Electronics Development Engineer in Nyon to lead complex hardware and firmware projects from concept to production in a regulated environment.

This position is responsible for steering high-impact electronic development initiatives through their entire lifecycle. The role provides significant autonomy and visibility, allowing the engineer to drive technical decisions while fostering long-term professional growth within a challenging technical framework.

Responsibilities

  • Define and refine electronic product specifications throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Make key hardware architecture choices and conduct technical design reviews.
  • Evaluate electronic schematics and PCB layouts to ensure compliance with EMC and electrical safety standards.
  • Establish firmware specifications and participate in embedded C/C++ coding tasks.
  • Convert product requirements into comprehensive verification and validation strategies.
  • Create test plans, methodologies, and acceptance criteria for product testing.
  • Oversee verification and validation activities in alignment with quality management protocols.
  • Lead PCBA transfer and industrialization efforts with internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and support the implementation of quality processes for electronic assemblies.
  • Develop manufacturing and test strategies, including ICT and FCT solutions.
  • Identify technical risks, create mitigation plans, and solve complex engineering problems.
  • Coordinate with R&D, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Service, and Product Management to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • University degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in electronic product development.
  • Strong background in hardware, firmware, and system-level design.
  • Experience developing products from concept through market launch in regulated environments.
  • Solid knowledge of verification and validation methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in electrical safety and EMC standards.
  • Experience leading electronics industrialization and PCBA transfer activities.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality management and electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with embedded firmware development in C/C++.
  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
  • Fluent English.
