Responsibilities

• Architect and design distributed systems that are highly scalable and maintain low latency.
• Develop and optimize Node.js microservices to handle player accounts, wallets, game engines, and event-driven features.
• Guarantee the security, reliability, and performance of core APIs under high-throughput transactional loads.
• Implement real-time communication channels using WebSockets, Pub/Sub, and event-driven messaging patterns.
• Partner with product managers, DevOps, and front-end engineers to deliver complete end-to-end features.
• Work closely with front-end and product teams to build performant, interactive web applications using React.
• Establish observability and monitoring solutions to ensure system health and enable proactive issue resolution.
• Champion best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and deployment workflows.
• Mentor team members to foster technical excellence and facilitate knowledge sharing across the engineering group.

Requirements

• At least four years of professional software engineering experience, primarily focused on backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js for building scalable backend services, including real-time systems like WebSockets and multiplayer synchronization.
• Hands-on experience with databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Solid grasp of performance optimization, rendering pipelines, and client-server architecture.
• Proven experience using React to create high-performance front-end user experiences.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.

• Previous background in crypto or iGaming industries.
• Experience with multiplayer gaming, gambling, or iGaming platforms.
