Senior Software Engineer - Frontend - Upload & Stream Team

Restream.io seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer to build UI features and improve system reliability for its multistreaming platform in a remote, senior-level capacity.

This position focuses on developing new functionalities and enhancing the user interface while ensuring system stability as the organization expands. The role operates within a compact team structure where every individual is expected to deliver substantial value and drive product evolution.

Responsibilities

• Create visually appealing interfaces and interactive elements for web services.
• Design and code the user interface along with the underlying business logic for current and future features.
• Collaborate closely with product designers to deliver intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
• Participate in peer code reviews by providing constructive feedback and accepting input from colleagues.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and identify potential improvements within the existing technical environment.

Requirements

• Possess a strong aesthetic sense, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent user experiences.
• Demonstrate solid proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern ECMAScript specifications.
• Show expertise in React and its primary state management libraries.
• Have experience using CSS preprocessors such as LESS or SASS.
• Hold basic backend capabilities, including Node.js, REST API development, and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Be comfortable utilizing TypeScript, MobX, AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous deployment workflows.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Be self-motivated, analytical, and capable of thriving in a collaborative team setting.

Nice to have

• Experience with programming languages other than those listed in the core requirements.
