Senior IT Project Manager - AI domain knowledge in Pharma

Fusion Consulting AG seeks a Senior IT Project Manager with AI expertise to lead digital transformation initiatives within the pharmaceutical and CDMO sectors, managing complex AI and cloud-based projects.

The company is looking for an experienced leader to oversee the planning and delivery of advanced AI-powered solutions across various corporate functions, including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of initiatives, ranging from Microsoft Copilot Studio applications to bespoke machine learning models built on Azure, ensuring successful implementation within a global CDMO environment.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate collaboration among internal teams, external vendors, technical architects, and business stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Oversee multiple simultaneous projects, balancing priorities and resources effectively.
• Execute comprehensive project planning, including budgeting, risk assessment, and governance frameworks.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of experience in IT project or program management.
• At least three years of hands-on experience delivering AI, analytics, automation, or digital transformation projects.
• Demonstrated track record of managing cloud-based application deployments on Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in leading software development efforts using Agile methodologies.
• Ability to engage and coordinate with global, cross-functional business and IT stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Prior experience deploying Generative AI solutions into production environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure OpenAI services.
• Background in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Manufacturing, or CDMO sectors.
• Knowledge of regulated environments and GxP compliance processes.
• Experience leading global delivery teams and managing external system integrators.
