On is seeking a Senior Lead, People Analytics in Zürich to architect its new data platform, drive statistical modeling, and serve as a strategic partner for global HR initiatives.
This position serves as the primary architect for the company’s new People Analytics platform and acts as a strategic advisor for the global people agenda. Reporting to the Head of People Analytics, the role focuses on empowering the organization through data-driven insights, constructing robust data pipelines, and advancing the use of statistical, predictive, and AI-driven automation technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage the core data engineering infrastructure, including pipelines, data modeling, and orchestration for the People Analytics Platform.
- Create and sustain the semantic and metric layer to ensure a single, reliable source of truth for all data.
- Contribute to the development of the AI and agentic layer, which includes an internal AI co-pilot and workflows assisted by large language models.
- Work alongside data scientists to enhance statistical and predictive modeling capabilities, utilizing techniques such as regression, clustering, and causal inference.
- Produce and present insightful dashboards, reports, and analyses covering the entire employee lifecycle and essential HR metrics.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for People Analytics, offering guidance to HR teams and business leaders.
- Partner with stakeholders to convert business needs into technical solutions and high-impact analytical projects.
- Maintain data governance and integrity across all HR systems.
- Craft and deliver compelling, data-driven narratives and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations effectively.
Requirements
- At least seven years of experience in People Analytics or a related data science discipline.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR data structures and key metrics.
- Proficient data engineering capabilities, including the construction and maintenance of pipelines, data models, and a governed semantic layer.
- Strong technical proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and Excel for data analysis and modeling.
- Hands-on experience with modern Business Intelligence tools such as Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Solid, practical understanding of statistical analysis and modeling methods, particularly regression and clustering.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Capacity to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of causal inference methods that extend beyond simple correlation.
- Previous exposure to HRIS platforms like Workday, SAP HR, SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM, including their reporting modules.
- Willingness or comfort in building agentic workflows and utilizing AI-assisted tooling.
