BridgeBio seeks a Senior Manager for Accounting and Controlling in Zug to lead international financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls under US GAAP.
Reporting to the Director of Accounting & Controlling, International, this position is central to BridgeBio’s mission of developing transformative medicines for patients with genetic diseases and cancers. The role focuses on managing accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and maintaining robust internal controls across the company’s international entities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles for international entities, guaranteeing accurate financial statements in line with US GAAP and local regulations.
- Direct daily accounting functions, including the review of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, payroll processing, and general financial reporting.
- Coordinate statutory compliance tasks such as audits, financial statement preparation, tax and VAT submissions, and liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Strengthen internal control frameworks and SOX-compliant procedures while seeking ways to enhance operational efficiency and financial governance.
- Collaborate with US Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, HR, and other international stakeholders to support financial initiatives and compliance goals.
- Assist with treasury and cash management duties, including payment oversight, transaction recording, reconciliation, and foreign exchange handling.
- Lead finance transformation efforts by implementing process improvements, system upgrades, and industry best practices across global operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Active professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Swiss CPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of eight years of progressive accounting experience, with specific exposure to international accounting.
- Proven background in conducting or supporting external audits.
- Prior work experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, statutory accounting standards, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
- Experience overseeing audits, managing external service providers, and handling accounting operations across multiple countries.

- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and experience working in public companies.
