Senior Accountant

Jet Aviation seeks a Senior Accountant in Basel to manage financial reporting for its entities under US GAAP and Swiss OR, collaborating with the Shared Services team.

This position sits within the Finance department’s Shared Services Accounting team. The incumbent will handle the financial accounting for specific Jet Aviation entities, working closely with other finance groups to maintain alignment and ensure smooth operational execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting tasks, such as maintaining, reconciling, and preparing ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in compliance with US GAAP and Swiss OR standards.
• Record, analyze, and report on accounting transactions to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare statutory accounts and financial reports for internal and external use.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding all accounting matters.
• Assist with internal and external audits while ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting standards.
• Document accounting projects or provide support in their documentation.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on accounting-related issues.

Requirements

• A commercial accounting education.
• Between two and five years of experience in a comparable role within an international organization.
• Fluency in both English and German, at oral and written levels.
• Strong expertise in Swiss GAAP (OR) and US GAAP frameworks.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP systems, including R/3 and S/4.
• A results-oriented approach characterized by precision, accountability, and a customer-centric mindset.
• Ability to function effectively as a team player.
