Jet Aviation seeks an Accountant (80-100%) in Basel to manage financial reporting, US GAAP compliance, and general accounting duties within its Shared Services team.
This position supports the Shared Services Accounting team by overseeing the financial operations of specific Jet Aviation entities. The role focuses on delivering precise and timely financial reports while streamlining accounting workflows to help the business meet its goals.
Responsibilities
- Execute core accounting duties, such as reconciling financial statements and filing VAT returns.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in line with US GAAP standards.
- Generate, analyze, and document financial data to maintain high data integrity.
- Verify transaction records and ensure strict adherence to internal accounting policies.
- Process accounts payable items, including employee expense claims.
- Support internal and external audit activities and assist with special projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve financial accounting inquiries.
Requirements
- A commercial accounting education or equivalent qualification.
- Between two and five years of relevant experience in an international setting.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting procedures.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and extensive experience with SAP.
- Fluent command of the English language.

- Familiarity with Dutch accounting standards.
- Ability to communicate in German or French.
