Anavia seeks a Senior Accountant in Bilten, CH, to manage financial reporting, controlling, and cost accounting while supporting the company's growth in unmanned aviation.

As Anavia expands rapidly, this position is designed to take full ownership of the financial backbone of the organization. The successful candidate will drive accounting operations, reporting, and cost control, playing a key role in shaping the future of unmanned aviation through accurate and timely financial stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices by verifying details, assigning codes, and posting them to the system.
  • Handle customer billing and track incoming payments to manage accounts receivable effectively.
  • Record daily financial transactions in the general ledger with precision.
  • Create journal entries and calculate periodic accruals.
  • Reconcile bank statements, receivables, payables, and balance sheet items.
  • Manage the fixed asset register, including capitalization and depreciation calculations.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with other mandatory statutory reports.
  • Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain accounting records that comply with internal policies and legal regulations.
  • Generate management reports and financial dashboards to aid decision-making.
  • Analyze financial results and KPIs to spot risks and opportunities across projects, products, and customers.
  • Oversee internal cost allocations, cost center reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Drive cost control efforts and monitor departmental spending.
  • Support cost center and cost object accounting tasks.
  • Maintain financial master data within the ERP system.
  • Serve as the primary contact for accounting queries within EDGE Finance and ANAVIA departments.
  • Assist with internal and external audit preparations.
  • Help optimize and digitalize finance workflows.
  • Perform general administrative duties for the Finance Department.
  • Ensure all accounting transactions are processed accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to EDGE and ANAVIA financial policies, as well as statutory requirements.
  • Handle confidential financial data with discretion.
  • Collaborate constructively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of finance processes.
  • Comply with ANAVIA's quality standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training with further education in Finance and Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
  • Very good German and English language skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in cost accounting.
