Senior Procurement Specialist

ANYbotics seeks a Senior Procurement Specialist in Zürich to lead end-to-end sourcing for the ANYmal D2 project, managing global supplier networks and cost optimization.

The company is a rapidly expanding technology firm focused on advancing mobile robotics for various sectors. This position is responsible for defining and implementing the complete procurement strategy for the ANYmal D2 initiative, covering both prototype development and full-scale production phases.

Responsibilities

• Define and carry out the full procurement strategy for the ANYmal D2 project from prototype to production.
• Manage complex global sourcing networks across Europe and Asia, securing essential suppliers.
• Lead RFQs, contract negotiations, and cost-reduction efforts to achieve target costs and schedules.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to single-source dependencies and supply chain disruptions for critical components.
• Oversee supplier qualification, capacity planning, and onboarding in alignment with industrialization plans.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth new product introduction.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier management within complex industrial or hardware sectors such as robotics, automotive, aerospace, or electronics.
• Proven experience managing procurement throughout the entire product lifecycle, from early prototypes to serial production ramp-up.
• Expertise in sourcing custom mechanical, electrical, and complex electromechanical components.
• Strong skills in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier agreements, and long-term commercial terms.
• Ability to build supplier networks and procurement processes from scratch in fast-growing hardware organizations.
• Experience working with international supplier bases, particularly in Europe and Asia.
• Collaborative approach with experience partnering with cross-functional Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
• Business fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of sourcing specialized robotic hardware like electronics, PCBAs, high-density batteries, motors, or drives.
• Fluency in German for local supplier communication.
• Background in low-to-medium volume, high-complexity hardware manufacturing environments.
