Senior Project Manager

Bühler seeks a Senior Project Manager in Holland, CH, to lead project execution for machinery and equipment, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while managing P&L and team performance.

This position oversees the end-to-end execution of projects involving the production of machines, tools, and equipment within Bühler’s portfolio. The role carries significant autonomy to make unreviewed decisions and holds full accountability for the project’s financial performance, including profit and loss, while ensuring delivery meets quality, schedule, and cash targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire project lifecycle from purchase order through final acceptance, including closing out snag lists.
• Direct the project team to meet and improve targets for cost, schedule, quality, and EHS.
• Secure agreement on the project schedule baseline with all relevant parties at the project start.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities effectively throughout the project.
• Handle deviations, approve change orders, and develop claim strategies for customers and partners.
• Conduct site briefing meetings and ensure all necessary documentation is transferred to site personnel.
• Document lessons learned and best practices to apply to future projects.

Requirements

• A four-year degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent training and experience.
• Proven strong project management capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and decision-making abilities within team environments.
• Experience leading work groups without direct reporting authority.
• Ability to anticipate, identify, and mitigate risks.
• Skill in managing customer relationships.
• Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of die casting machinery specifications, automation, and processes.
• Over five years of professional project management experience.
• PMP certification.
• German language proficiency.
