Senior Project Manager/Solution Architect SAP TM (Transportation Management)

The company seeks a Senior Project Manager/Solution Architect for SAP TM in Zürich. The role leads global SAP Transportation Management roll-outs, managing projects, stakeholders, and digitalization initiatives within a hybrid setup.

This position sits within the Global SAP team, a group of more than 100 professionals dedicated to turning IT innovations into practical solutions. As the organization shifts toward greater digitalization, this role operates in a fast-paced, innovative setting to execute roll-outs quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drive SAP TM projects from the initial planning stage through to final delivery.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with defined milestones and deliverables while proactively addressing risks, issues, and stakeholder concerns.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure high performance.
• Lead group-wide digitalization efforts by converting strategic concepts into solutions that enhance core business processes.
• Coordinate and direct work packages across multiple cross-functional teams to maintain alignment with project goals and optimize resource use.
• Manage the end-to-end service relationship, including steering committees and project offices, between the company, its SAP partner, and the central SAP template team.
• Maintain transparency and enforce strict risk management practices.
• Align senior stakeholders and embed delivered solutions permanently within the organization.
• Implement robust change, quality, and risk management protocols to prevent disruptions and maintain standards.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a project manager within SAP Transportation Management initiatives.
• Hands-on experience planning and executing all TM implementation phases, including fit-gap analysis, build, testing, go-live, and hypercare support.
• Deep understanding of SAP TM features, cutover tasks, and business activities required for successful implementation or rollout.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with various organizational levels.
• Strong technical knowledge of the SAP Transportation Management module.
• Demonstrated empathy, resilience, and accountability in demanding situations.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Fluency in English.
