(Senior) Researcher in SoC Architecture (Wireless Technologies)

Huawei Switzerland seeks a Senior Researcher in SoC Architecture for Wireless Technologies in Zürich. The role focuses on Edge AI, chip system optimization, and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Track emerging trends in Edge AI and microarchitecture optimization for various processors.
• Design innovative solutions for computing architecture, memory, interconnects, and SoC design to enhance performance, power efficiency, and area utilization.
• Create new computing architectures that boost chip system efficiency via software-hardware co-design and technical advancements.
• Build and sustain long-term strategic alliances with industry leaders and academic institutions, including collaboration with university professors in computer architecture.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, wireless communication, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience within the semiconductor or chip industry.
• Proven expertise in hardware and software co-design, microprocessor architecture for scalar, vector, and tensor computing, job scheduling in heterogeneous parallel systems, memory optimization in many-core systems, and power optimization.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively across different organizations and at executive levels.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Exceptional written communication skills for producing clear and concise reports.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI chip design and power and area efficiency optimization is advantageous.
• Familiarity with hardware-software interfaces and interactions, along with compiler technology experience, is beneficial.
• Knowledge of the Chinese language is considered an asset.
