Senior Software Developer

Resmonics seeks a Senior Software Developer to lead a team in Zurich, focusing on AI-driven acoustic analysis for edge devices and mobile platforms within an academic spin-off.

This position is based at Resmonics, an AI startup specializing in acoustic technologies for respiratory care. The role requires leading a group of developers while collaborating directly with the CTO to define technical strategy and build software solutions that leverage edge computing and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of developers through the design, creation, and deployment of software for edge devices focused on acoustic analysis.
• Partner with various departments to build, test, and launch software products.
• Produce high-quality, efficient code using C++, Python, and JavaScript.
• Perform code reviews and offer constructive feedback to peers.
• Identify and resolve software bugs and technical issues.
• Keep current with advancements in AI, edge computing, and software engineering.
• Create mobile applications for iOS and Android using Swift, Kotlin, and Java.
• Work with the CTO to set the technical vision and direction for the organization.
• Coach and train team members to help them grow their skills.
• Review and enhance team workflows to boost efficiency and output quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least eight years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in building software for edge devices and applying AI to acoustic analysis.
• Strong coding abilities in C++, Python, and JavaScript.
• Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab DevOps or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of mobile development tools such as Swift, Kotlin, and Java.
• Solid problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring development teams.
• Ability to manage several projects at once.
• Fluent English proficiency.
