Sonova seeks a Senior Audiological Engineer in Stäfa to develop algorithms for hearing aid fitting within its R&D department. The role combines technical development with data analysis and product support.
Positioned within the Research and Development department, this role translates specific product requirements into algorithmic specifications for audiological features. The primary objective is to enhance hearing aid functionalities, ensuring they can be precisely tailored to meet the unique needs of individual customers.
Responsibilities
- Create audiological algorithms, models, and software prototypes using the EXAM platform.
- Recommend adjustments to audiological functionalities based on the results of various studies.
- Perform measurements and assess the resulting data.
- Analyze large datasets to derive insights.
- Validate that implemented functionalities meet specifications.
- Assist the Marketing team with product launches and the preparation of technical publications.
Requirements
- A university degree in a scientific or technical field, such as Physics or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in modeling complex relationships and applying statistical methods.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and object-oriented software development.
- Experience with and a strong interest in AI-assisted software development.
- Fluent command of the English language.
Nice to have
- A PhD degree is considered an advantage.
- Background knowledge in psychoacoustics, electroacoustics, or signal processing.
- German language skills are highly desirable.
