Senior Securities Finance Specialist

Vontobel Asset Management seeks a Senior Securities Finance Specialist in Zürich to lead trading, collateral management, and platform deployment within the Structured Solutions unit.

This position sits within the Structured Solutions unit, which oversees global trading and distribution for Structured Notes and Warrants. The team manages the entire securities financing value chain, providing broad exposure and ownership. The role merges market expertise, technological proficiency, and commercial strategy to develop the next generation of the Securities Finance business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Securities Lending trading operations, covering inventory control, pricing strategies, trade execution, and counterparty engagement.
• Grow the bank’s Securities Lending programme by collaborating with institutional asset owners and Relationship Managers to expand private banking client participation and increase lendable assets.
• Lead the implementation of the new front-to-back Securities Finance platform.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with institutional clients, counterparties, custodians, central counterparties, triparty agents, and market infrastructure providers.
• Support Collateral Management for OTC derivatives, listed derivatives, and Securities Lending transactions, ensuring efficient allocation, funding, and liquidity management.
• Assist with Securities Finance trade support and lifecycle management, including the prompt resolution of exceptions and complex operational events.
• Partner with Trading, Treasury, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver scalable and efficient business solutions.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong background in Securities Lending Trading and/or Sales, including experience managing beneficial owner relationships.
• Proven expertise in Collateral Management across OTC derivatives, listed derivatives, and securities financing transactions.
• Demonstrated technical affinity and hands-on experience with coding and agentic tools.
