Senior Software Engineer / Architect

GlobalEngineer GmbH seeks a Senior Software Engineer/Architect in Zürich to design secure boot solutions and network architectures for high-end industrial systems.

This position is situated within a technically rigorous environment focused on the industrial high-end sector. The successful candidate will operate across mechanical, plant, and energy engineering domains, tackling complex challenges in system security and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build Secure Boot mechanisms for X86-based systems.
• Establish and maintain the Chain of Trust by integrating Security Tokens (TPM) and Measured Boot for the operating system.
• Validate and incorporate Security Tokens into the overall trust chain.
• Design network architectures and develop the associated software components.
• Collaborate closely with System Engineering teams on conceptual design.
• Deploy developed solutions into production environments and conduct necessary testing.

Requirements

• A completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Proven track record of delivering projects in similar technical settings.
• Multiple years of experience as a Senior System Engineer or Architect, with specific expertise in Secure Boot and network structures.
• Deep technical understanding of X86 Secure Boot, Chain of Trust, TPM, and Measured Boot.
• Hands-on experience in creating and implementing network architectures and protocols.
• Strong conceptual thinking abilities and a proactive attitude toward realizing ideas.
• Versatility to handle tasks ranging from initial concept creation to final documentation.
