Senior Specialist Metabolic Health - Hormone Regulation

Nestlé seeks a Senior Specialist in Metabolic Health to lead research on hormonal regulation and nutrition, driving innovation in Lausanne through a hybrid work model.

This position focuses on advancing health solutions by exploring how hormonal regulation impacts metabolic health and body composition. The specialist will work closely with internal scientists, innovation partners, and technical teams within Nestlé Research to translate scientific evidence into actionable nutrition concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conducting research that connects nutrition, hormonal regulation, and metabolic health to identify new opportunities for health-focused innovations.
• Transforming scientific data regarding gut hormones, insulin sensitivity, sex hormones, and body composition into practical nutrition strategies.
• Creating mechanistic insights that convert scientific observations into clear modes of action and robust health recommendations.
• Establishing and maintaining external scientific networks in metabolic health, endocrinology, and women’s health to foster collaboration.
• Producing high-quality scientific outputs, including research milestones, publications, presentations, and inputs for innovation projects.
• Mentoring and coaching junior team members while inspiring cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.

Requirements

• A PhD or MD/PhD degree with recognized expertise in metabolic health and hormone regulation.
• Significant professional experience in metabolic health, specifically involving gut-derived hormones, insulin sensitivity, and sex hormones.
• Background in nutritional interventions, health outcomes, and human physiology.
• Strong skills in project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and scientific communication.
• Fluent proficiency in English for effective communication.
