Zurich Insurance Group seeks a Skills Strategy & Talent Agility Lead in Zürich to define critical skills frameworks and drive organizational change toward flexible, skill-based capabilities.
This position is responsible for mapping essential skills to support business priorities over the next one to three years. The role aims to transition the organization away from rigid job descriptions toward a flexible, skill-based model. By creating a dynamic skills framework, the position helps align talent strategies with broader corporate goals.
Responsibilities
- Identify, categorize, and map the critical skills required to meet business objectives.
- Develop and refine an agile skills taxonomy that includes defined proficiency levels.
- Monitor industry trends, AI developments, and technological changes to keep the framework current.
- Lead change management efforts to shift organizational mindsets toward skill-based flexibility.
- Engage senior leadership and department heads to ensure adoption of the new framework.
- Design and implement communication and training strategies to promote the skills platform.
- Partner with Group Talent and business leaders to embed skills into talent processes.
- Perform skill gap analyses using AI-powered tools.
- Provide data-driven insights to HR business partners and leaders for talent shortage identification and succession planning.
- Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the skills framework.
- Enable employees to manage their own growth through self-assessment tools and learning pathways.
- Ensure transparent access to the skills framework so staff can understand career progression opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience in organizational development, specifically linking business strategy to workforce capabilities.
- Proven track record in driving cultural or behavioral change, preferably within large organizations.
- Strong ability to influence and align diverse groups, including business units, HR, leaders, and employees.
- Knowledge of modern adult learning, upskilling, reskilling, and career development strategies.
- Capability to define, track, and analyze impact metrics.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to adapting frameworks based on feedback.
