Software Engineer

The company seeks a mid-level Software Engineer to design scalable backend systems and user interfaces while bridging data engineering with business outcomes within the Cartier Data Office.

This position operates at the intersection of data capabilities and business value, specifically within the Cartier Data Office. The role focuses on connecting AI and data engineering efforts to deliver tangible results for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend infrastructure and functional user interfaces.
• Deliver secure and compliant applications across the organization.
• Create business-ready applications, high-performance microservices, and internal tools.
• Design and build complete software solutions, including server-side logic and client-side interfaces.
• Construct and maintain microservices and REST APIs to expose data and machine learning capabilities.
• Work with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to operationalize machine learning models and data pipelines.
• Maintain robust deployment pipelines and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Ensure all software adheres to group standards, security protocols, and evolving AI regulations.
• Drive engineering efficiency by creating standardized project templates and reusable libraries.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• 3-5 years of experience in full-stack or backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI).
• Knowledge of standard frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, GKE) and modern deployment workflows.
• Ability to operate effectively within large, matrixed organizations.
• Agile and able to align with rapidly evolving internal standards, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
