Hexagon Robotics seeks a Staff Robotics Engineer in Zürich to lead whole-body control and robot learning efforts, transitioning humanoid prototypes into production-ready systems.
The company builds humanoid robots for industrial use to help address workforce gaps and move automation toward autonomy. This position focuses on advancing these machines from early prototypes to full-scale production, ensuring they are robust and scalable.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team in applying advanced algorithms for whole-body control of humanoid robots
- Implement whole-body controllers hands-on, including testing and evaluation on physical robots
- Create scalable training pipelines for reinforcement and imitation learning
- Design and develop robust, scalable software running on embedded Linux
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in developing planning and control algorithms, preferably on robotic products
- Expertise in a wide range of methods for planning and control - sampling-based, optimization-based, M L-based.
- Solid programming skills in Python and C++
