Linxon Switzerland Ltd seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager in Baden to lead procurement and logistics for substation projects, driving cost optimization and supplier performance.

This position is central to the execution of procurement and logistics strategies within a newly formed organization. The incumbent will play a key role in shaping the company’s future by implementing compliant activities and leveraging data analysis to support profit-and-loss strategies focused on cost, quality, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute sourcing strategies for direct materials and services across local and global markets.
  • Collaborate with the HUB P&L Manager to achieve annual targets related to cost reduction, supplier quality, and overall performance.
  • Track key performance indicators and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead high-level negotiations with strategic suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Oversee vendor development, including ordering processes and follow-up activities.
  • Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle and negotiation processes.
  • Evaluate market conditions to establish targets, standards, and processes that ensure quality, timely delivery, and sustainability.
  • Uphold health, safety, environmental, and ethical standards in all operations and negotiations.
  • Participate in and deliver training programs focused on compliance and professional development.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication channels with internal teams and external partners.
  • Standardize operational processes and implement routines in alignment with Group directives.
  • Monitor and share insights regarding market trends and competitor activities.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities within the supply chain network.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in procurement and logistics, specifically within Substation Transmission & Distribution or Transportation Electrification projects.
  • Deep expertise in procuring major components such as transformers, batteries, chargers, UPS systems, third rail systems, substation high-voltage equipment, aluminum tubes, conductors, and HVAC systems.
  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or commercial field.
  • Native proficiency in German.
  • Fluent English skills, with the ability to negotiate at a professional level.
