Badrutt's Palace Hotel seeks a Tailor for its Linen Room team in Sankt Moritz. The role involves professional sewing, alterations, and repairs for staff uniforms and guest garments on a seasonal basis.
This position supports the Linen Room team at Badrutt's Palace Hotel, ensuring that all uniforms, guest garments, and hotel textiles meet the establishment's high standards. The tailor is responsible for maintaining quality through precise sewing, fitting, and repair work.
Responsibilities
- Execute professional sewing, alteration, and repair tasks for staff uniforms, guest clothing, and hotel textiles.
- Handle individual alteration requests from international guests with discretion and precision.
- Perform machine embroidery according to guests' individual requirements.
- Repair and mend textiles, replace buttons, sew hems and linings.
- Perform professional fitting and alteration of staff uniforms.
- Support colleagues in the Linen Room team and assist in other operational areas of the Laundry.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace and care for tools and sewing machines.
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training as a Tailor or Seamstress, or have several years of experience in a comparable role.
- Extensive expertise in sewing, alterations, and garment repairs, and working with a wide variety of fabrics and materials.
- Precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality.
- Discretion and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work reliably, independently, and remain well organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible, service-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good command of English and Italian is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with machine embroidery is ideal.
- Additional language skills are an advantage.
