"Technical" Project Lead (m/f/d)

Georg Fischer AG seeks a Senior Technical Project Lead in Schaffhausen to drive industrial innovation projects from concept to market launch, managing cross-functional teams and strategic development.

Within the Business Unit Industry Solutions, this role focuses on transforming innovative ideas into commercialized industrial solutions. The position involves guiding product development initiatives through all stages, ensuring strategic alignment, and fostering collaboration across disciplines to deliver lasting value to customers and the business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of strategic innovation and product development projects, from initial concept through to market release and final closure.
• Convert abstract innovation concepts into structured, executable development projects with clear goals.
• Establish project parameters, including scope, objectives, deliverables, governance frameworks, and success metrics.
• Create comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Control project resources, manage risks and dependencies, and handle change requests effectively.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams, external suppliers, development partners, and customer stakeholders.
• Organize and facilitate steering committees, workshops, milestone reviews, and key decision-making sessions.
• Maintain robust project governance, ensuring accurate documentation, regular reporting, and clear stakeholder communication.
• Track project performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address deviations.
• Promote the continuous improvement of project management standards, methodologies, and best practices within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Technical Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• At least four years of experience leading complex projects within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technology-focused sectors.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering product development, innovation, or technology-driven projects.
• Deep understanding of project governance, stakeholder management, risk assessment, budgeting, and execution strategies.
• Strong leadership capabilities combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft project management and collaboration software.
• Fluent command of the English language.

Nice to have

• PRINCE2 certification or hands-on experience with the methodology.
• Ability to communicate in German.
