Technical specialist in sensor technology (80-100%)

Elektron AG seeks a Junior Technical Specialist in Sensor Technology (80-100%) in Switzerland. The role provides first-level technical support, manages customer inquiries, and deputizes for the lighting management SOC specialist.

This position serves as the primary point of contact for technical questions regarding sensor technology, ensuring both internal and external stakeholders receive accurate assistance. Additionally, the specialist acts as a backup for the technical lead managing the lighting management SOC, ensuring continuity in operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver telephone and written assistance for technical questions related to sensor technology from internal teams and external clients.
• Resolve customer inquiries and orders by coordinating with product management and field service teams on technical and commercial aspects.
• Manage technical complaints from customers and suppliers in the sensor technology sector in collaboration with the product manager.
• Generate service and repair orders while taking into account current stock levels and team capacity.
• Oversee and execute the complete process for handling goods returns within the customer service framework.
• Step in for the technical specialist responsible for lighting management SOC when needed.

Requirements

• Completion of basic vocational training in a commercial or technical field.
• Initial practical experience in handling technical tasks.
• Strong technical aptitude combined with analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Proactive attitude with a high degree of personal responsibility.
• Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
• Very good command of the German language.
