Stadlerrail seeks a Technical Writer in Białystok to manage technical documentation for rail-vehicle components, supporting global expansion with precise English and Polish materials.
As Stadlerrail expands its power converter factory to serve external customers and global markets, this position is responsible for creating and managing technical documentation for rail-vehicle components. The role ensures that engineering outputs are translated into clear, compliant manuals and specifications for international use.
Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and validate technical documents in English, with optional support in Polish, covering operating manuals, assembly guides, and technical specs.
- Work closely with engineering, production, quality assurance, and service departments to collect accurate technical data.
- Structure and edit content to meet industry standards such as IEC, ISO, and EN, alongside internal quality protocols.
- Take part in documentation review cycles and apply necessary corrections.
- Help develop and optimize processes related to technical documentation.
- Oversee the full document lifecycle, including version control, numbering, access permissions, and approval workflows.
- Maintain document control systems, ensuring traceability by archiving outdated revisions.
- Assist procurement teams with documentation inputs and enforce corporate design guidelines.
- Proactively suggest improvements to documentation tools, workflows, and standards.
Requirements
- A strong interest in technology and the ability to produce technically precise documents.
- Fluent English proficiency (C1 level) with excellent technical writing skills, maintaining a formal and precise style.
- Fluency in Polish.
- Prior experience in technical documentation, preferably within electronics or mechatronics.
- Familiarity with technical documentation standards and norms.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Railway Engineering, Journalism, or a related field.

- German language skills are considered an advantage.
