WinGD seeks a Technical Writer for Engine Documentation in Winterthur to produce end-user manuals, technical illustrations, and spare parts catalogues for new and existing engines.
The company is looking for a technical writer to develop and maintain end-user documentation for its engine products. The position focuses on creating clear operational and maintenance guides, generating technical illustrations from CAD data, and assisting with spare parts catalogues.
Responsibilities
- Draft and revise user manuals for new engine models and update existing guides covering operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Produce 2D and 3D technical illustrations for customer documentation using CAD data.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of spare parts catalogues.
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship or higher education in a technical field.
- Certified Technical Professional or higher, e.g. design engineer (Konstrukteur EFZ).
- Sound knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS), preferably GRIPS.
- Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, preferably Siemens TeamCenter.
- Basic knowledge of CAD programs, preferably Siemens NX.
- Meticulousness, to provide clear user-friendly and correct content.
- Proactive self-driven acting.
- Organised, able to plan and monitor own work and work of outsourcing partners.
