WinGD is seeking a Technical Proposal Engineer in Winterthur to develop service proposals, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive sustainable solutions for merchant shipping.
This position plays a key role in shaping the environmental impact of global shipping by developing technical service proposals and acting as a central liaison between sales, technical support, and field service teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Responsibilities
- Create customized service proposals for repairs, overhauls, and retrofits by matching technical specs with client needs.
- Serve as the primary coordinator to align communication between Sales, Technical Support, and Field Service departments.
- Translate field insights, warranty reports, and service letters into commercial opportunities.
- Manage service data and WinGD service numbers to enhance traceability and strategic planning.
- Develop unified technical-commercial processes and promote cross-departmental collaboration.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of service leads and historical records to support business growth.
- Implement best practices for proactive quoting and service packages to provide scalable solutions.
- Ensure consistent data collection to support long-term service strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of field service experience, preferably with WinGD engines.
- Ability to create technical proposals and lists for spare parts, tools, and manpower for engine overhauls.
- Deliver technically sound repair proposals that meet customer specifications.
- Act as a central coordinator to align Sales, Technical, and Field Service teams for growth.

- Familiarity with iCER, WiDE, and SCR systems.
