WinGD seeks a Senior Technical Superintendent based in Winterthur, CH, to provide on-site technical support, training, and remote customer service for marine engineering projects. The role involves supporting service contracts and spare parts sales, acting as the main customer contact during field projects, and ensuring compliance with company policies and documentation standards.

This role supports marine engineering projects through on-site technical assistance, training, and remote customer service. It serves as the primary liaison for customers during field operations, drives service and spare parts sales by identifying needs, and ensures compliance with internal policies and detailed documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and consultation for on-site commissioning and troubleshooting tasks
  • Train and instruct marine engineers (internal or partner teams) on assigned technical tasks
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues using specialized tools and expertise
  • Maintain accurate records of service reports, maintenance logs, and field observations
  • Support growth in service and spare parts sales by identifying customer needs and offering technical justification
  • Share customer feedback with internal teams and assist in preparing quotes and proposals
  • Track and report project hours, expenditures, and income for invoicing purposes
  • Follow safety and regulatory standards during all field operations
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop complete and effective solutions

Requirements

  • Proven skills in engine troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational knowledge
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, control, and automation systems
  • Experience leading external teams indirectly
  • Capability to design and deliver technical and methodological training
  • Project management experience covering resources, spares, quality, and timelines
  • Theoretical understanding of 2-stroke engines
  • Knowledge of commissioning and start-up procedures for mechanical and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with local labor and legal regulations
  • Strong reporting and analytical abilities
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
  • In-depth knowledge of WinGD’s operations and business
  • Understanding of WinGD’s quality, safety, and environmental standards
  • Proficiency in English
