WinGD seeks a Mid-level Superintendent in Winterthur, CH, to oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, and project control for marine engines while ensuring safety and compliance.

The company is looking for a professional to guide on-site commissioning and resolve technical issues for marine engine systems. This position focuses on maintaining detailed operational records, managing project finances, and ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations while collaborating with engineering teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and consultation for on-site commissioning and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Keep precise documentation of field activities, including service reports, maintenance logs, and observations for compliance.
  • Manage accurate hour tracking, project budgeting (income and expenditure), and data submission for invoicing.
  • Follow all safety standards and regulatory requirements during field work, promoting best practices for a secure environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and external partners to share insights and solve complex technical challenges.
  • Stay current with marine engine technology advancements and train others through continuous education.

Requirements

  • MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of 2-stroke engine performance, thermodynamics, vibrations, materials, and structures.
  • Hands-on experience with 2-stroke engine service, operation, automation systems, and electronics.
  • Background in equipment, electrical, or electronics fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Focus on practical application of safety standards during field operations.
  • Proven ability in troubleshooting, onboard measurements, or high-complexity tasks like software updates and tuning.
  • Experience or capacity to manage field service projects and coordinate with teams.
  • Proficiency in PC software and basic setup skills.
  • Fluency in English for document creation and communication.
  • Self-motivated with a critical approach aimed at continuous improvement.
