Technical Writer

The company seeks a Technical Writer to produce complex documentation for surface radar systems, requiring expertise in S1000D, XML, and Simplified Technical English, along with fluency in Swedish and English.

This position focuses on developing extensive manuals for advanced surface radar systems. The writer will collaborate closely with subject matter experts to gather and analyze technical details, ensuring the final documentation meets customer needs and adheres to international standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect and evaluate technical data to produce customer-facing documentation.
• Draft manuals using an XML-based workflow.
• Ensure all documentation complies with the S1000D international specification.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Simplified Technical English (STE).
• Familiarity with the S1000D specification.
• Strong planning and organizational capabilities.
• Background in creating documentation using Dita or comparable tools.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English.
• Ability to pass a security vetting according to current regulations.

Nice to have

• A Master of Science degree or a qualification in Technical Communication.
