Test engineer

QIM info seeks a Senior Test Engineer in Geneva to design and execute robust testing strategies for safety-critical systems, emphasizing automation and quality assurance.

This position operates within a demanding, safety-critical environment where precision and reliability are essential. The role focuses on defining and executing robust testing strategies for complex systems, with a strong emphasis on automation and continuous quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and improve comprehensive testing strategies for complex mission-critical systems
• Perform end-to-end, system, integration, and acceptance testing activities
• Contribute to both manual and automated testing initiatives, with a strong focus on increasing test automation coverage
• Validate functional and non-functional requirements, including performance and reliability aspects
• Integrate testing activities within CI/CD pipelines and support the maturity growth of testing practices
• Execute performance and load testing using tools such as OctoPerf, JMeter, or equivalent solutions
• Analyze logs, system behavior, and test results using monitoring and observability tools
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, operations, and business stakeholders
• Ensure full traceability of requirements, test cases, defects, and validation evidence
• Participate in audits and compliance activities within a highly regulated environment
• Support defect investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution processes
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, tools, and processes

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as a Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer
• Strong experience in end-to-end, integration, and system testing
• Proven expertise in test automation (mandatory)
• ISTQB certification (mandatory)
• Experience working within critical systems, safety-sensitive, or highly regulated environments
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and software delivery processes
• Good scripting and automation skills using Python, Java, and Shell
• Experience with test management and requirements traceability tools
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
• Fluent English (mandatory)
