Roger Dubuis seeks a Trade Compliance Expert in Villars-sur-Glane to manage customs regulations and free trade agreements within a dynamic, excellence-driven department.
This position sits within a growing team of motivated professionals dedicated to operational excellence. The primary focus is on navigating Customs regulations and leveraging Free Trade Agreements to support the company’s Trade Compliance function.
Responsibilities
- Track changes in Customs laws and Free Trade Agreements, evaluating their impact on business operations and managing associated risks.
- Design and lead training sessions for large groups on Customs operational best practices and the effective application of Free Trade Agreements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to implement large-scale initiatives aimed at improving Customs operations and managing Free Trade Agreements.
- Draft or assist in creating high-level memos, guidance documents, directives, and internal communications for Trade Compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Trade Compliance, providing support and knowledge to international stakeholders across the Group.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, including industry associations, consultants, and regulatory authorities, to interpret regulatory shifts and develop compliance strategies.
Requirements
- Possess 2-3 years of experience in an international setting, involving consultation, training, research, and content creation within Trade Compliance.
- Hold a Master’s degree in Law, Economics, or a related discipline, preferably obtained from a university in the EU, Switzerland, or the US.
- Demonstrate fluent, non-negotiable proficiency in both French and English, with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Showcase strong verbal and written communication skills, complemented by a keen eye for visual and aesthetic presentation.
- Apply strong analytical capabilities to summarize complex regulations, interpret new rules, and translate potential risks into tangible business impacts.
- Navigate complex organizational structures, understand diverse stakeholder viewpoints, and clearly articulate ideas to Group Management.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a collaborative, consultative, and team-oriented approach.
Nice to have
- Prior experience using SAP and SAP GTS systems.
- Background in developing or delivering Corporate Training Programs, such as e-learning modules or classroom sessions.
