The company seeks a Trade Compliance Process & Data Expert in Villars-sur-Glane, Switzerland, to optimize global trade compliance processes, manage data quality, and support stakeholders in maintaining regulatory adherence.
The Group Product & Trade Compliance department focuses on preventing supply chain disruptions and protecting brand reputation by ensuring regulatory compliance. This position supports the Data & Operations Excellence team by managing strategies and solutions that enhance compliance effectiveness across the organization. The role serves as a co-warrant for compliance control, overseeing key performance indicators, maintaining data quality, and identifying areas for process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Formalize and optimize global trade compliance procedures, including import, export, special procedures, duties, and free trade agreements, along with associated data management guidelines.
- Provide consulting and training to internal stakeholders on trade compliance data and processes, empowering them with system-driven solutions.
- Analyze support requests for trade compliance implementation, framing enhancements to deliver efficient solutions for system and data under process ownership.
- Monitor trade compliance key performance indicators and act as a data quality control tower, performing data stewardship for data contributed by stakeholders under data governance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Support projects requiring expertise in trade compliance data management and processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in an international setting within trade compliance.
- Familiarity with supply chain and trade regulatory domains, including HS commodity codes, regulatory documentation, policy interpretation, and international logistics operational flows.
- Highly meticulous and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable with digital and IT systems logic and software user interfaces, with a good understanding of SAP and SAP GTS being advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel, including data manipulation, exports, filters, XLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
- Possesses a consultative, cooperative, and customer-focused approach to interactions.
- Demonstrates a proactive mindset, challenging the status quo and supporting continuous, pragmatic improvement initiatives.
- Fluent in French and fully proficient in English to interact daily with multicultural stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience in business analysis, process management, or project management is advantageous.
- A good understanding of SAP and SAP GTS is a plus.
- Speaking Italian and/or German is a serious plus.
