MicroHabitat seeks an Urban Farming Coordinator in Zürich/Zug to lead urban agriculture projects, manage client accounts, and educate diverse audiences as part of a global initiative.
This position supports MicroHabitat's mission to enhance urban environments and city lifestyles through edible gardens on rooftops and ground-level spaces. The coordinator will join the largest global urban farming initiative, driving project execution and community engagement across the region.
Responsibilities
- Direct urban agriculture initiatives for a diverse client base across multiple districts.
- Organize, establish, and monitor food production zones.
- Maintain client relationships and partner with sales and marketing departments.
- Supervise all regional farming operations and guide team activities.
- Deliver educational workshops and transfer farming knowledge to various audiences.
- Coordinate installation materials and lead setup processes.
- Manage client accounts and oversee production areas throughout the season.
Requirements
- Degree in agriculture, horticulture, environmental sciences, sustainable development, or customer service, or equivalent practical experience.
- Theoretical and hands-on background in farming or client relations.
- Proven ability to facilitate workshops and mobilize groups.
- Proficiency with smartphones, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and video conferencing tools.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with at least two years of driving experience.
- Access to a functional smartphone.
