Blockstream, a leading Bitcoin infrastructure company, seeks a VP for Enterprise Products & Solutions in EMEA, based in Zurich. The role focuses on driving enterprise growth in financial services through strategic client engagement, sales leadership, and product adoption in digital assets and blockchain technologies.
This strategic leadership role supports Blockstream’s expansion into traditional financial services, helping institutions adopt Bitcoin infrastructure and next-generation financial technologies. The position is central to shaping enterprise growth and client transformation in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the EMEA enterprise growth and sales strategy alongside the Chief Product Officer and global leadership.
- Lead revenue growth and strategic account expansion in institutional financial markets.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to financial institutions exploring digital assets, Bitcoin infrastructure, and blockchain-based services.
- Build long-term relationships with C-suite executives, business owners, innovation teams, and technology leaders.
- Lead consultative sales engagements by understanding client operations, business challenges, regulatory needs, and infrastructure goals.
- Manage complex enterprise sales cycles from discovery to solution design, negotiation, and delivery oversight.
- Originate, develop, and close high-value enterprise deals with recurring client value.
- Position Blockstream as a reliable long-term infrastructure partner in institutional markets.
- Collaborate with clients to design customized solutions using Bitcoin infrastructure, Layer-2 technologies, and interoperability tools.
- Lead discussions across business, operations, compliance, and technical domains.
- Oversee enterprise implementation programs to align client expectations with delivery outcomes.
- Support adoption of Liquid and Lightning ecosystems by clarifying use cases and integration opportunities.
- Navigate regulated environments with structured, professional stakeholder management.
- Balance client needs, commercial constraints, and delivery execution throughout the client lifecycle.
- Build and lead a high-performing enterprise business development and client engagement team across EMEA.
- Work with product, engineering, legal, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure successful client outcomes.
- Act as a bridge between clients and internal teams, ensuring feedback shapes product and delivery priorities.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and execution excellence.
- Collaborate across teams and geographies in fast-paced, distributed environments.
- Represent Blockstream at industry events, executive forums, and client gatherings in financial services.
- Contribute to market positioning and thought leadership on institutional Bitcoin adoption.
- Stay current on market trends, competition, regulations, and enterprise transformation in EMEA financial markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Technology, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- 10+ years in enterprise sales, consultative selling, strategic consulting, or complex solution delivery in financial services.
- Proven success in exceeding enterprise sales targets and driving commercial growth in complex B2B and institutional settings.
- Experience managing consultative sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, long decision processes, executive engagement, and enterprise transformation projects.
- Strong background in selling complex technology, infrastructure, SaaS, or platform solutions to enterprise and institutional clients.
- Track record of building strategic client relationships and converting advisory engagements into long-term partnerships.
- Experience engaging executive stakeholders in investment banks, private banks, hedge funds, asset managers, or financial tech organizations.
- Solid understanding of enterprise technology, financial infrastructure, APIs, integration ecosystems, and operational transformation.
- Strong interest in digital assets, Bitcoin infrastructure, blockchain, and institutional adoption trends.
- Commercial acumen to balance client needs, technical complexity, and delivery execution.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and globally distributed environments.
- Self-motivated with a strong ownership mindset and cross-functional collaboration skills.
