Benchling seeks a Senior Enterprise Account Executive in Zürich to drive new business within top global accounts. The role involves building stakeholder relationships and managing complex sales cycles for its biotech platform.
As a member of the Central European Enterprise team, this position focuses on securing new business within designated Top 50 global accounts. The primary objective is to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various professional roles while driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Generate the majority of the sales pipeline by identifying new opportunities and engaging with diverse personas within the prospect base, collaborating closely with SDRs.
- Create and maintain precise sales forecasts within a 10% variance of targets, utilizing data to ensure predictable revenue outcomes.
- Tailor platform presentations and proposals to address the specific needs of each prospect, clearly communicating the platform's value.
- Lead contract negotiations by addressing objections and navigating organizational complexities involving multiple personas and CxO executives to secure agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams (marketing, product, customer success) and external partners (GSIs, AWS) to ensure client satisfaction.
- Navigate the sales process using MEDDICC methodologies, focusing on pipeline generation, leading indicators, and building champions across user communities and C-levels.
- Maintain accurate account and opportunity data within Salesforce.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive market position.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a global enterprise or major accounts seller, preferably in data management, workflow SaaS, or technology-driven environments serving multiple personas.
- Demonstrated ability to drive pipeline generation and manage complex sales cycles for seven-figure deals.
- Strong sales forecasting skills with a history of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Success in selling solutions outside pre-established budgets, including the ability to build compelling business cases and influence purchasing decisions.
- Experience engaging with diverse personas within accounts, including technical and business decision-makers and CxO executives.
- Dynamic communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Nice to have
- Ability to leverage the MEDDICC sales methodology is highly recommended.
- Knowledge of the life sciences industry, including R&D and/or IT functions, is preferred but not required.
