Blp Digital seeks a Senior Strategic Account Executive in Zürich to win and grow enterprise accounts in the DACH region. The role requires enterprise B2B SaaS sales experience, insight-led selling, and executive engagement to drive strategic deals to close.
This role is for a Senior Enterprise Account Executive responsible for winning and expanding strategic enterprise accounts. The position involves driving commercial outcomes from pipeline creation to close using insight-led selling, and leading complex, multi-stakeholder cycles with CFO, CIO, Shared Services, and Procurement leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory and account strategy, including target accounts, key stakeholders, engagement sequencing, and multi-threaded approaches.
- Generate new business pipeline through outbound prospecting, partner initiatives, events, and customer referrals.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting, following a repeatable, metrics-based sales process.
- Apply insight-led selling techniques to challenge customer assumptions and present a clearer view of where value is trapped.
- Conduct executive-level discovery to identify operational challenges and decision-making friction, then craft a compelling target-state narrative with urgency and joint action steps.
- Align internal stakeholders across CFO/CIO-led buying committees, including champions, economic buyers, IT/security, and process owners.
- Own the business case, pricing, proposals, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Measure and communicate value—such as capacity release, cycle time reduction, compliance improvements, and stack simplification—aligned with executive priorities and budgets.
- Lead deals to closure with clear next steps, strong governance, and precise forecasting.
- Collaborate with Solutions Engineers to run workshops and demos, addressing technical concerns like security, integration, and rollout.
- Coordinate with Customer Success on implementation readiness, success metrics, and future expansion opportunities.
- Ensure smooth handoffs from deal close to project kickoff, preserving the value narrative and outcomes.
- Position blp against fragmented point tools (OCR, IDP, workflow, RPA, process mining) by promoting an 'end-to-end + exceptions-first' approach.
- Anticipate and counter competitive moves with clear differentiation and proven results.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in enterprise B2B SaaS sales (or equivalent complex solution sales), with a consistent history of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Demonstrated success in insight-led enterprise sales cycles, including respectfully challenging customer assumptions, quantifying impact, and mobilizing buying committees.
- Strong executive presence with CFO, CIO, and Head of Shared Services, and experience navigating enterprise procurement processes.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-threaded deals, including mutual action plans, MEDDICC-style qualification, and disciplined forecasting.
- Proven collaboration with presales and post-sales teams, ensuring the product being sold is deliverable.
- Fluency in English and German (or another major European language, depending on territory).
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP/SAP systems (S/4, ECC, Public/Private Cloud) or selling into finance, procurement, and shared services transformations.
- Track record of selling automation platforms (workflow, RPA, process mining, IDP) and winning against existing vendors.
- Background in global enterprise rollouts involving multi-country stakeholders.
