Role Overview
We are looking for a Wireless QA Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and WiFi 7 (802.11be) testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in wireless networking, test planning, automation, and performance validation. The candidate should possess hands-on programming/automation skills and experience in wireless performance, capacity, and scalability testing using VeriWave or equivalent traffic generation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for WiFi 6 and WiFi 7
- Perform functional, regression, interoperability, performance, scalability, stress, and stability testing of enterprise wireless
- Validate wireless features such as WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X authentication, RADIUS, VLANs, QoS, Mesh, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, BSS Coloring, Multi-Link Operation (MLO), and seamless
- Execute wireless performance, throughput, capacity, roaming, and scalability testing using VeriWave (or equivalent tools such as Spirent/Ixia).
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and test scripts using Python or similar programming
- Analyze packet captures using Wireshark and debug wireless protocol and networking
- Collaborate with Development, Product Management, and Support teams to reproduce, analyze, and resolve product
- Participate in CI/CD-based test automation and continuously improve test coverage and
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in Wireless QA/Testing.
- Strong understanding of WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and WiFi 7 (802.11be) technologies and IEEE 11 standards.
- Good knowledge of enterprise wireless networking, including WPA2/WPA3, 1X, RADIUS, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6, and QoS.
- Hands-on experience in automation and programming using Python (preferred) or other scripting
- Experience in wireless performance and scalability testing using VeriWave, including throughput, latency, roaming, and capacity validation.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Experience with Wireshark for packet capture and protocol
- Familiarity with Linux environments and shell
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication
Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise wireless Access Points and Wireless
- Familiarity with automation frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, or
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Knowledge of REST APIs and network
- Exposure to traffic generators such as Spirent TestCenter, Ixia, or OctoScope is an added
- Knowledge of Firewall and Network Security concepts is
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics, Information Science, Telecommunications, or a related engineering
