Mettler Toledo seeks a Workplace Specialist in Nänikon to manage digital workplace solutions, supporting productivity across a large IT landscape with hybrid work options and comprehensive benefits.
This position belongs to the Digital Workplace Solutions team within the global Digital Business Services unit at the Greifensee headquarters. The role focuses on enhancing productivity and customer experience by maintaining a complex environment of core applications, servers, and end-user devices.
Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-tier technical assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, IP and MS Teams telephony, and local network infrastructure.
- Prepare and configure computers and end-user devices for deployment.
- Manage Active Directory elements such as user accounts, distribution groups, mailboxes, and group policies.
- Install, maintain, and resolve issues with standard software and security tokens.
- Oversee system management and client administration using SCCM and Intune.
- Handle permissions for extensive data sets and file structures.
- Support SOX compliance audits by managing patching, antivirus updates, and Active Directory access controls.
- Assist with or lead hardware and software deployment projects.
- Perform basic client engineering and software packaging tasks.
- Take technical ownership of specific workplace topics and help improve standards, processes, and documentation.
- Coordinate workplace activities across different locations and prioritize tasks independently within the team.
- Act as a deputy to Area IT Management for daily operations, including prioritization, escalations, and coordination.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist or equivalent technical education.
- Several years of hands-on experience in workplace, endpoint, or client-focused IT support.
- Deep understanding of PCs, printers, mobile devices, LAN, and Office/collaboration solutions.
- Solid experience with Windows operating systems, MS Office products, and preferably Dell hardware.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with SCCM, Intune, and software packaging.
- German language proficiency.
