AI Engineer

Orange Business Digital Switzerland SA seeks a Senior AI Engineer in Meyrin, CH, to develop and deploy AI solutions for clients using machine learning, generative AI, and MLOps. The role involves building scalable AI systems, integrating LLMs, and working in a hybrid environment with a focus on innovation and customer impact.

The AI Engineer will contribute to high-impact projects for leading clients by applying generative AI and machine learning to streamline business processes and enable new interactions. As part of a new, close-knit AI team within Orange, the role combines data science, engineering, and cloud expertise to deliver innovative, real-world solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI systems, including predictive models and generative AI applications, aligned with client goals
• Work with clients and partners to define, build, and deploy AI solutions
• Create scalable AI pipelines and automate model training, validation, and deployment using MLOps practices
• Conduct detailed data analysis and feature engineering to support model development
• Apply modern AI techniques such as generative AI, LLM integrations, or computer vision
• Track model performance and refine systems based on real-time feedback and business needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an AI Engineer or in a similar role, with a history of impactful AI projects
• Strong understanding of machine learning and/or deep learning frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Experience with Generative AI tools such as Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, Azure OpenAI, or Azure AI Foundry
• Proficient in Python for developing and maintaining AI models
• Experience with scalable AI workflows and MLOps, ideally using Azure ML, AI Foundry, or MLflow
• Knowledge of data engineering and experience with data preprocessing and cloud-based model deployment
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools like Git, Azure DevOps, or GitLab
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English
