Associate Director, Cyber Security

Teneo AG seeks an Associate Director of Cyber Security to lead complex strategy, risk, and response engagements for global clients in a remote, full-time capacity.

This position serves as a senior advisor within a multi-disciplinary team, guiding clients through cyber strategy, risk management, incident response, and recovery. The role requires acting as a trusted counselor to clients and collaborating closely with Directors and Managing Directors to deliver high-impact advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Manage key parts of client projects, lead specific workstreams, and contribute to business development and client relationship building.
• Oversee the execution of intricate cyber strategy, risk, and resilience projects, coordinating efforts across diverse teams.
• Provide critical advisory support to clients during security incidents, aiding in decision-making and recovery coordination under pressure.
• Spearhead initiatives focused on cyber strategy, risk assessment, and resilience, including designing operating models and development roadmaps.
• Create and present structured insights and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, cultivating a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Requirements

• A proven history of successfully delivering complex cyber security projects and establishing credibility as a senior advisor.
• Deep experience in cyber strategy, risk management, and/or incident response and recovery.
• Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams and manage teams across cross-border, multi-disciplinary engagements.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams in fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

• Specialized knowledge in areas such as data security, identity and access management, security operations, or threat intelligence.
