Tecan seeks a Head of Information Security to lead its cyber security domain, manage the security team, and drive strategic IT protection initiatives in Switzerland.
The company is looking for a leader to oversee its IT security domain, ensuring robust defense against threats while guiding the team and shaping long-term security strategies.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute a long-term IT security strategy
- Manage the security team, including project prioritization and personnel development
- Maintain high availability and operational stability for all security systems
- Curate and oversee the portfolio of security-related projects
- Set technical standards and architecture for security infrastructure and applications
- Handle compliance checks, security audits, and external vendor contracts
- Manage departmental budgets and hold full HR accountability for staff
- Apply both agile and traditional project management techniques
- Provide regular updates and strategic advice to IT leadership
Requirements
- University degree in IT or Business Administration
- Proven background in IT security with certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or MAS/CAS
- Experience in systems design, IT planning, and cloud infrastructure strategy
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with ISMS, IAM, and security across networks, servers, clients, and web platforms
- Strong leadership abilities with a pragmatic, strategic mindset
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
