Associate Director, Supply Chain - Portfolio & Change Management

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (Swiss Office) seeks an Associate Director for Supply Chain Portfolio & Change Management to lead transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects in a hybrid role.

This position serves as an individual contributor responsible for driving the company’s supply chain transformation agenda. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to embed operational excellence and manage a portfolio of high-impact change initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Direct structured change management activities for transformation projects, covering communication strategies, training programs, stakeholder engagement, and tracking adoption rates.
  • Manage a portfolio of supply chain improvement projects to ensure they align with strategic goals and deliver measurable value.
  • Identify and lead process improvement efforts by applying Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
  • Act as a liaison between the Supply Chain department and core functions such as Commercial, Manufacturing, QA/GxP, Finance, and IT.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to change adoption and project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or transformation roles within the biopharma or regulated industries.
  • Proven expertise in Lean Six Sigma, holding a Green Belt certification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading organizational change and managing improvement portfolios.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP IBP or Kinaxis, project management tools, and analytics platforms like Power BI or Tableau.

Nice to have

  • MBA or master’s degree.
